Historical Heritage and sustainability

Castelfalfi, located in the Municipality of Montaione, was one of the abandoned Italian Medieval Villages – Borgo – but with a splendid future in its destiny. In fact, in 2007 the world tourism Leader TUI decided to invest in the territory and bring back to life the whole area of Castelfalfi. Based on sustainability, the restoration starts with the Borgo and its Castle, of the former tobacco dryer into a boutique hotel and of the existing café to a typical Tuscan trattoria. The restoration has not involved just the buildings, which include the farmhouses located all over the Estate, but mainly the roots and the traditions of the area by improving and reshaping the vineyards, olive groves and in general the production of extra-virgin olive oil and wines. The sustainable commitment of the Estate is visible in the design of the golf course, which follows the natural morphology of the land and gives life to 27 holes of challenge and beauty.

The Golf Club

Golf Club Castelfalfi is Tuscany’s largest course and its attention to the environment is distinguished by the recognition GEO Certified®. The 27 holes are playable in three formulas, differentiated by difficulty, and the main ones are the challenging 18-hole Mountain course and Lake course of 9. Additionally, the golf club offers a Driving range with the sophisticated Trackman technology that ensure a precise evaluation of the golfer tee. On summer 2020 the new Countryside Club House, a typical Tuscan farmhouse brought back to life, will welcome the golfers for a perfect golf experience.
