Pine Cliffs has one of the country’s most original and beautiful nine-hole clifftop golf courses. Built in a pinewood setting with tree lined fairways, it runs parallel along the Atlantic Ocean, with breath-taking views along the Algarvian coastline. Architect Martin Hawtree’s main concern was to keep the natural surroundings as it was before the course was built. The jewel and signature hole of this perfectly kept course is its famous Par 3 sixth hole. The championship tee, known as the ‘Devil’s Parlour’, is built over a ravine which has a 197 metre carry over the cliffs to a deep but narrow green.
